'Inky, inky you're a blot in my eye! Why did thou turn up thine toes and die?'

The art series 'Death Begets Death' was created by artist Alice Meille-Durose when she began working with a recurring theme that from death comes life and the reflecting on the endless cycle we are all a part of, but with a twist. That twist being that the very graphic, direct paintings show life springing forth from death, however every mushroom featured in the series is actually poisonous to humans, hence 'Death Begets Death'

Every print is printed in house, by me personally in my Derbyshire studio. I print every piece using my archival giclee printer, printing with pigment inks specially chosen for their lightfastness, longevity and vibrancy, onto Hanhemuhle German Etching paper, one of the worlds best quality and oldest paper mills.

The dimensions of this print are approximately A5; 14.8 x 21 cm (5.83 x 8.27 inches).
